IPL 2025: Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians – Stats Preview

Chennai Super Kings will take on arch-rivals Mumbai Indians at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Sunday in their IPL 2025 opener. Both teams were able to retain their core ahead of the mega-auction and they were also able to add crucial players to their roster.

Mumbai Indians will definitely miss the services of their gun fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah in the first phase of the tournament. Furthermore, MI doesn’t have a quality spin attack, which could be their Achilles Heel in the tournament. 

On the other hand, CSK ticks most of the boxes as they have assembled a potent squad in the auction.

Ruturaj Gaikwad needs nine sixes to complete 100 maximums in the IPL.

Deepak Hooda needs 35 runs to reach the 1500-run mark in the IPL. He also needs four fours to complete 100 boundaries in the tournament.

Ravindra Jadeja needs 41 runs to complete 3000 runs in the IPL.

Vijay Shankar needs five sixes to complete 50 maximums in the tournament.

Devon Conway needs 76 runs to reach 1000 runs in the IPL. The left-hander needs one four to complete 100 boundaries.

Rohit Sharma needs seven sixes to complete 50 maximums in the IPL.

Tilak Varma needs 10 fours to complete 100 boundaries in the IPL.
