IPL 2025: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals – Match Preview

Previous season’s runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on Sunday in a day game. Both of these teams were able to qualify for the playoffs in the previous season and they would look to carry the good show with the revamped squad.

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

SRH was able to retain players like Abhishek Sharma, Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Heinrich Klaasen. Cummins had led the franchise from the front in the previous season and he would once again look to get the best out of his players. Barring Pat Cummins, the Orange Army doesn’t have a lot of quality in the pace attack and Harshal Patel would need to step up for the team.

Rajasthan Royals:

Riyan Parag will lead RR in the first three matches as Sanju Samson will play purely as a batter. RR has a potent Indian batting lineup in Riyan Parag, Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Dhruv Jurel. However, pace attack doesn’t have a lot of experience.

Head to Head: Matches: 20, Won by SRH: 11, Won by RR: 9.

Batters: Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Atharva Taide, Abhinav Manohar, Aniket Verma.
