Obieta, who hails from Gernika in the Basque Country, began his football journey at his hometown side, Gernika Club, where he made his senior debut in 2012. Since then, he has built a career across several Spanish clubs, showcasing his versatility and experience in the country’s lower leagues. His career path includes stints with Zamudio, SD Amorebieta, CD Tudelano, and AD Alcorcón, among others, before his most recent spell at Real Unión.
The addition of Obieta reflects Kerala Blasters’ intent to strengthen their frontline with experienced international talent.
