FC Goa have strengthened their squad ahead of the 2026-27 season by signing midfielder Hoabam Tomba Singh from Inter Kashi on a three-year contract, the Indian Super League (ISL) club announced on Thursday.
The move marks FC Goa’s first Indian signing of the summer as the club continues to reshape its squad for the upcoming campaign. Tomba arrives after an impressive spell with Inter Kashi, where he spent three seasons and established himself as one of the team’s key performers.
During his time at the club, the midfielder made 55 appearances and played a vital role in Inter Kashi’s I-League-winning campaign in the 2024-25 season. Last season, he featured 15 times under coach Antonio Habas, who described him as the best midfielder in the league.
Expressing his excitement after completing the move, Tomba said: “I’m delighted to join FC Goa. It’s a great opportunity to be part of such an ambitious club, and I’m looking forward to learning, improving, and giving my best for the team. I can’t wait to get started and meet the fans.”
The signing is part of FC Goa’s preparations for a new era under head coach Gouramangi Singh. The club parted ways with Spanish coach Manolo Marquez despite winning back-to-back Super Cup titles during his tenure and has now handed the reins to the former India international.
Tomba joins a growing list of new arrivals at the club, with FC Goa already securing the signatures of Chiki, Álex Zalaya, Franchu and Alex Vallejo as they build their squad for the new season.
Welcoming the midfielder to the club, Gouramangi expressed confidence in the youngster’s ability to develop further and contribute to the team.
“Tomba is a hardworking and a player who has a lot of potential and is always eager to learn and improve. He has shown good maturity for his age, and we believe he has the qualities to make a positive impact,” Gouramangi said.
“We’re excited to work with him and help him continue his development,” he added.
With a proven record in the I-League and the opportunity to test himself in the ISL, Tomba now begins a new chapter in his career as FC Goa look to challenge for honours under their new coaching setup.
