The defending champions India will begin their T20 World Cup campaign against the USA at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Saturday. Team India is undoubtedly the best T20I team in the world and there is no doubt that USA will have their work cut out in their opening clash of the marquee event.
Suryakumar Yadav’s team has been on a roll in the shortest format and they are the team to beat in this World Cup. The Men in Blue have ticked the right boxes and would want to carry their impetus into the T20I showpiece.
USA, on the other hand, had played out of their skins in the 2024 edition of the World Cup as they had stunned Pakistan and would want to replicate the same show.
Stats Preview:
Kuldeep Yadav needs six wickets to complete 100 scalps in T20Is and he would become the fourth Indian bowler and first spinner to get to the landmark after Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya.
