New Zealand cricket has announced schedule for India’s multi-format tour, which would begin on October 22. The Indian team will play five T20Is, as many ODIs and two Test matches on their tour Down Under.
The 2026 T20 World Cup finalists will take on each other in five T20Is, from October 22 to November 1. Subsequently, the two teams will play five ODIs from November 4 to November 15.
Following the white-ball leg, New Zealand and India will play two Test matches from November 19 and November 27 onwards at Wellington and Christchurch respectively.
India is currently in sixth place in the World Test Championship cycle points table and thus this away series will hold a lot of importance.
New Zealand cricket Chief Marketing and Commercial officer Green Critchley said via Cricbuzz, “When it comes to cricket – it simply doesn’t get bigger than India and we’re determined to deliver New Zealanders a tour like no other. This will be about more than just the cricket on the field – it will be a celebration of New Zealand’s shared history and culture with India, and our burgeoning rivalry and friendship through cricket.”
“The passion and the following this team has is staggering – not to mention some of the players expected to tour, such as Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah – so we’re bracing for the intensity and fandom that will accompany the tour.”
