The picturesque Dharamsala will host its first match of IPL 2026 as Punjab Kings will take on Delhi Capitals in the 55th game of the tournament on Monday. After getting off to a dream start in the season, Punjab Kings have veered off the track, losing their last three games.
The Mohali-based franchise has been sloppy in the field, which has led to their downfall. In the last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, PBKS dropped three catches and also missed one stumping chance. Thus, Shreyas Iyer’s team need to pull up their socks in the field.
Furthermore, PBKS openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh have failed to deliver the goods in the last couple of games and the franchise have looked dependent on the opening pair.
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals have lost their last two games and they would look to bounce back to winning ways. DC have failed to cross the 160-run mark in the previous two games and they must come up with an improved batting performance.
Ashutosh Sharma has performed consistently for the franchise and he must get regular chances in the playing XI.
