IPL 2025: Mumbai Indians vs Lucknow Super Giants – Match Preview

A high-flying Mumbai Indians will host Lucknow Super Giants in the 45th match of the ongoing IPL 2025 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Saturday. After getting off to a slow start, MI have won four on the bounce and when a team like them get on a roll like this, it is a very strong warning to other teams.

Hardik Pandya’s team have ticked the right boxes with both bat and ball in the last few matches. The only concern for them was the form of Rohit Sharma but that has been extinguished as the veteran batter has scored a total of 146 runs in the last two games.

Rohit getting the runs is a big boost for the team as it allows Suryakumar Yadav to take the bull by its horns. Deepak Chahar and Trent Boult were also brilliant for MI in the last game against SRH.

On the other hand, LSG suffered a eight wicket loss against Delhi Capitals in the last game. LSG openers – Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh – added 87 runs for the opening alliance but the middle order could not capitalize. Furthermore, Rishabh Pant coming out to bat at number seven was baffling for many boffins.

LSG could ponder of adding Mayank Yadav in their playing XI if he has regained full fitness.
