Delhi Capitals will lock horns against Kolkata Knight Riders at their adopted home ground of ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam in the 16th match of IPL 2024 on Wednesday. DC must have grown in confidence after beating defending champions Chennai Super Kings by 20 runs in their previous match after losing the first two games.
Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other hand, registered a seven-wicket victory against Royal Challengers Bengaluru with 19 balls to spare and have won both of their matches.
For Delhi, there were a lot of positives from the last game with Prithvi Shaw grabbing his chance with a 27-ball 43. David Warner looked at his absolute best as he batted aggressively whereas Rishabh Pant turned back the clock to score his maiden fifty after return.
Moreover, Delhi’s bowling was up to the mark with Khaleel Ahmed (2-21) being the pick of the bowlers. Furthermore, Mukesh Kumar bagged three crucial wickets. Thus, DC will look to carry the same collective show against KKR.
On the other hand, Sunil Narine and Venkatesh Iyer took RCB bowlers to the cleaners in the previous match. KKR was also able to deliver with the ball in the death overs as Andre Russell nailed the slower balls.
