Lucknow Super Giants will lock horns against four-time champions Chennai Super Kings at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on Wednesday in a day game. Both of these teams had lost their previous matches and they will be looking to bounce back to winning ways.
While CSK’s bowling has let the team down in the ongoing season, Lucknow Super Giants’ batting has been their kryptonite. In fact, LSG could not chase down a modest target of 127 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore while playing at home.
Furthermore, they could not even chase down 135 runs against Gujarat Titans and thus they need to pull up their socks with the bat against CSK while playing in their own conditions.
On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings could not defend 200 runs against Punjab Kings in their previous season. Thus, they will need to come up with a better bowling show against LSG.
The Lucknow pitch has been on the slower side and the spinners of both teams will come into action.
