India will lock horns against New Zealand in the second T20I at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur on Friday. The hosts won the series opener at Nagpur comprehensively by 48 runs and would look to carry the same form.

Abhishek Sharma express has shown no signs of slowing down and the left-hander keeps hitting in the topmost gear. India would hope that the opener continues his merry form into the T20 World Cup. The pugnacious southpaw blasted 84 runs off just 35 balls in the opening game and he has been batting like a dream.

Rinku Singh also had a good game as he added the finishing touches, scoring a fine cameo of 44 runs off 20 balls, which would give him a lot of confidence as he was playing after a long time. However, there are still some missing holes which the team would want to fill ahead of the T20I showpiece. 

Suryakumar Yadav was not able to convert his start whereas Sanju Samson suffered a soft dismissal. Furthermore, India would want to grab their chances in the field as they were not clinical at Nagpur.

On the other hand, New Zealand are yet to finalise their playing combination. The Kiwis were not at their best with the ball and they would also want to pull up their socks in the field.
