India will square off against Australia in the fourth T20I at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur on Friday. Australia had made a resounding comeback in the series after winning the third game in a thrilling fashion by five wickets.
The visitors were down and out in the previous game but they were able to turn the tables after a whirlwind knock from Glenn Maxwell, who smashed 104 runs off just 48 balls.
But, Indian bowlers were not on the money and thus they had to pay the heavy price against an in-form and dangerous Maxwell.
However, Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a magnificent knock of 123 runs, becoming the first Indian batter to score a century in the T20I format against Australia but his heroics went in vain.
Travis Head needs five more runs to complete 500 runs in the T20I format. The left-hander also needs eight fours to complete 50 fours in the shortest form.
Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav needs 21 runs to reach the 2000-run mark in the T20I version.
Ruturaj Gaikwad requires 42 runs to complete 500 runs in the T20I form. The right-hander also needs six fours to reach the milestone 50 fours in the shortest form.
Australian skipper Matthew Wade needs seven sixes to complete 50 sixes in the shortest format of the game.
