Former Indian batter Mohammad Kaif showered praise on Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube for their terrific knocks against Afghanistan in the second T20I at the Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore on Sunday. Jaiswal scored an attacking knock of 68 runs off just 34 balls in the run-chase of 173 runs.
The southpaw added a fine partnership of 92 runs off just 42 balls with Shivam Dube, who scored an unbeaten 61-run knock. Both the left-handers played with an aggressive approach in the middle overs and took the attack against the spinners.
While Jaiswal smashed five four and six sixes whereas Dube scored five fours and four sixes in his blistering knock. Jaiswal scored his fourth T20I fifty whereas Dube scored his third half-century in the shortest format.
“Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube are making India proud with their entertaining and aggressive brand of cricket. What a delight to watch these two stylish left-handers,” Kaif wrote while sharing a glimpse of their partnership.
On the other hand, Dube had scored a match-winning knock of 60 runs off just 40 balls in the opening T20I against Afghanistan. Furthermore, he had returned with impressive figures of 1-9 in the two overs he bowled.
