Delhi Capitals owner Parth Jindal has downplayed speculations regarding KL Rahul trade rumors ahead of IPL 2027. After IPL 2026, it was reported that Rahul could be traded out, but Jindal has put all the rumors to bed.
Rahul is one of the most experienced batters and provides great stability at the top of the order. The flamboyant batter scored 593 runs in 14 matches of IPL 2026 at an average of 45.61 and a strike rate of 174.41 for Delhi Capitals and he was the team’s leading run-getter in the previous season.
Parth Jindal wrote on X, “KL IS KLUTCH FOR @DelhiCapitals – one of the nicest guys I know and one who puts the team before himself always. We have unfinished business and will work hard together to make Delhi proud @IPL.”
Rahul also reacted to Jindal’s post, replying, “Thank you, can’t wait for the coming season.”
Delhi Capitals’ social media team also posted a video of KL Rahul with the captain, “Keep the noise coming.” The video said it is Dilli since day one for KL Rahul. The batter also replied with a blue heart emoji on the video.
Meanwhile, Rahul recently scored 135 runs in three innings against Sri Lanka at an average of 45. The Karnataka batter has been a consistent performer in the IPL and he would look to lead DC to their first title in the next season.
On the other hand, earlier Delhi Capitals traded Kuldeep Yadav to Lucknow Super Giants in exchange for Rishabh Pant. Pant didn’t have a great season for LSG and the left-hander will certainly look to add more firepower to DC’s batting line-up.
